The Lakehead University Orillia Campus opened its doors in September 2006 in the newly renovated Heritage Place located in Downtown Orillia, ON. The nearly 14,000-square foot facility supports a wide range of student services and academic learning environments.
As the leader in learning-assisted technology, Lakehead University features a number of sophisticated Technology Enabled Classrooms, utilizing the latest in state-of-the-art technology to enhance the student learning experience. Two fully-equipped computer labs (featuring full internet access, laser printers and all applications required by students to complete their work) are available for students to use. Traditional classrooms and community learning environments are also available throughout the campus. The library and resource centre feature a permanent collection and access to a complete collection of online reference resources.

In addition to taking advantage of the natural environment in the surrounding Orillia region, students will also learn in our high-tech lab environments featuring the latest in scientific learning technology.
As a student-centered learning environment, Lakehead University Orillia Campus features community environments with student lounge areas and internet access terminals for students doing research or just looking to surf the web. |
